Recent events

June 21st, as part of Make Music New York, Jeffrey and Megan Schubert performed Stockhausen's Am Himmel Wandre Ich... in Sakura Park. Thanks to all who came and stuck it out in the pouring rain!

May 23rd, Jeffrey performed Christopher Marianetti and Mary Walling Blackburn's A NOVEL in the FORM of a CAR BOMB for 8 cars (automobiles), 12 singers, and 3 actors. 8PM in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

May 3rd loadbang made their first Philadelphia appearance at Sci Fi Philly.

April 28th at Manhattan School of Music, Jeffrey performed Hans Werner Henze's El Cimarrón, an epic 80 minute work for flute, guitar, percussion and baritone voice. He was joined by Amelia Lukas, flute, Kobe Van Cauwenberghe, guitar, and Jude Traxler, percussion.

March 24th and 25th, Jeffrey sang the two inserts from Xenakis's opera Oresteia. The Goddess Athena was at Manhattan School of Music, with TACTUS, March 24th, 7:30 PM; Kassandra was at Stony Brook University with ICE percussionist David Schotzko, at noon on the 25th.

March 21st Jeffrey gave his Graduate recital at Manhattan School of Music, featuring a US Premiere by Liza Lim, and other works by Babbitt, Kagel, Monk, Rihm, and Xenakis. 9PM, Pforzheimer Hall

loadbang appeared on Friday the 13th in Boston at lilypad with ai ensemble, and on the Ides of March at the Tank in NYC.

February 10th, Jeffrey sang the US Premiere of Philipp Maintz's "Fluchtlinie" in a concert at Manhattan School of Music.

December 9th, Jeffrey performed Charles Wuorinen's ebullient "Ashberyana" at Manhattan School of Music, conducted by Argento Chamber Ensemble's Michel Galante. The composer was in attendance.

December 4th, loadbang performed at the Gershwin Hotel in an all John Cage program, featuring 4'33", Radio Music, Living Room Music, Song Books with Solo for Sliding Trombone, Four6, and Music for Four.

November 13th, Jeffrey had the honor of performing "The Line Gang" and "Tell Me Where is Fancy Bred" for Elliott Carter in a concert at Manhattan School of Music.

November 2nd, loadbang made their second appearance at The Stone!

October 9th, Jeffrey sang two works with Wet Ink as a part of A Power Stronger Than Itself: A Celebration of the AACM, at The Kitchen. See the review!

September 24th at Manhattan School of Music, Jeffrey performed Karlheinz Stockhausen's concert length a cappella duet Am Himmel Wandre Ich... with Megan Schubert.

Jeffrey covered the baritone role in Xenakis's Oresteia at Miller Theater, conducted by Steven Osgood

On July 31st, loadbang made their big New York debut with a set at The Stone, with a set including a premiere by Paul Pinto, works and improvisations by the band, and other works by Ronen Shai and John Cage.

Jeffrey attended the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival this July, singing his own works and premieres by Malina Rauschenfels and Paul Swartzel along with the music of Iannis Xenakis, Terry Riley, Meredith Monk, and Morton Feldman.
